The update deamon should be disabled on the DoyenCD. In my tests, after using the Doyen CD for a while, it suddenly goes into overdrive accessing the disk and using up all the resources on my small laptop.

One process in particular prelink seems to be working overtime. What is it's purpose? Is it part of the Red Hat update stuff?
